Terms of service
Effective 9 September 2026
1. Operator / Impressum
Jett is provided by Sandro Gantze as an individual operator. Contact: sandro@jett-mail.com; support: support@jett-mail.com. Jett is the product name, not an assertion of incorporation.
2. Service and beta availability
Jett is a web and desktop email client that connects to supported existing mail accounts through Aurinko. It provides local caching, search, mailbox organisation and available AI-assisted features. Your email provider continues to operate your mailbox.
Jett is currently offered in a free beta. Beta access does not authorise payment or automatically convert into a paid subscription. If paid access is introduced, you must receive the offer and actively complete the purchase process. Features shown as previews or roadmap items may be unavailable or change during development.
Offline access covers only locally available data and supported operations. Jett is not a backup service. Keep independent copies of important local drafts, documents and other work.
3. Accounts and connected services
You must be at least 16 and have the legal capacity required to use the service. If under 18, obtain guardian authorisation where required, particularly for purchases. Keep account information accurate and protect your device and credentials. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Connect only mailboxes you are entitled to use. The provider’s authorisation screen describes requested access. Provider terms also apply to that provider’s service. You can revoke access in your email provider’s account settings; this does not automatically cancel billing or erase existing data.
For organisational use, establish authority to process correspondence and arrange any required data processing agreement with Jett before use. Acceptance of these terms cannot waive other people’s data protection rights.
4. AI assistance and your control
Available AI features include classification, priorities, summaries, text answers and document analysis. Background classification can process incoming mail automatically. Mailbox-aware drafting and Reply Review are restricted previews, not a promise of general availability. Model access and usage are subject to the limits shown for your account.
AI can omit information or produce incorrect statements. Check source messages, recipients, dates and attachments before relying on an output. A caution label is not a guarantee that other messages are safe; document analysis is not professional advice or an external fact check.
Generating a draft does not send it. Review and confirm supported external actions before execution. Automatic classification and label application are distinct from authorising a send or unsubscribe. A generated answer does not establish that an external action completed.
The privacy policy explains which content reaches cloud services. Accepting these terms is not blanket consent to optional analytics, marketing, new AI purposes or processing sensitive data.
5. Content and acceptable use
You retain your rights in your email and other content. You authorise only the processing and transmission needed for requested features, subject to applicable law and the privacy notice. These terms do not grant a right to sell your mailbox content or use it to train general-purpose AI models.
Do not use Jett for unlawful access, fraud, spam, harassment, malware or bypassing access and usage controls. Do not interfere with other users or try to obtain their messages or credentials. Mandatory rights to inspect or interoperate with software remain unaffected.
6. Paid plans, renewal and cancellation
If you choose a paid plan when offered, checkout must state the total price, applicable taxes, billing interval, minimum term and renewal/cancellation conditions before a binding order. Stripe processes payments. A free beta account alone creates no payment obligation.
A recurring plan renews on its disclosed terms until cancelled. Where available, use the account billing portal, or send the operator a clear cancellation request. Cancellation normally ends renewal at the end of the paid period, subject to mandatory rights and any more favourable offer. Revoking mailbox access, deleting local data or uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.
Statutory refund, withdrawal, defect and termination rights remain unaffected. We do not apply a blanket “no refunds” rule. Early-adopter benefits apply only under the eligibility and discount terms actually communicated and granted to your account.
Before online consumer subscriptions are offered, Jett will provide the legally required cancellation and electronic withdrawal functions where they apply. An email contact does not replace a mandatory online function.
7. Consumer right of withdrawal
EU consumers entering a distance service contract generally have 14 days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. Statutory rules on when the period starts and extensions for missing information apply.
To withdraw, send Sandro Gantze a clear statement, for example to sandro@jett-mail.com. Sending it before the deadline is sufficient. The form below is optional.
Following valid withdrawal, payments must be reimbursed without undue delay and within 14 days after notification, using the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise, without reimbursement fees. Any proportionate charge for services begun at your express request is subject to statutory information and request requirements. Starting to use Jett does not by itself waive withdrawal rights.

8. Availability, suspension and ending use
Availability depends on Jett, your device, network and connected providers. Beta features may change, but mandatory rights concerning digital services, conformity and necessary updates remain in force.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security incident, unlawful use or material breach. Where practicable and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow the issue to be resolved. Ending paid access must respect applicable notice, refund and termination rights.
You can stop using Jett and request account deletion through the operator. Save local work you wish to keep. The privacy policy distinguishes provider mail, local copies, cloud records and legal retention.
9. Liability and mandatory rights
Statutory liability rules apply. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraud, guarantees or mandatory product liability. Consumer rights relating to defective digital services and data protection remain unaffected.
10. Changes, law and contact
Material contractual changes must be communicated in advance with their reason and effective date. Changes requiring agreement will be submitted for agreement; continued use alone is not consent to every future change. Mandatory termination rights remain available.
German law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protections of the law of their habitual residence. These terms impose no exclusive court or mandatory arbitration on consumers.
For questions or complaints, contact sandro@jett-mail.com. Jett does not currently participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and is not obliged to do so, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
